The phrase “I deserve this” when shopping is nothing but the devil.

Once I stopped treating every bad day like it deserved a little shopping spree, my bank account finally got a chance to breathe. Now I try to ask myself, “Do I actually need this, or am I just emotionally holding a debit card?”

I used to think financial success meant making more money, but keeping some of it is apparently part of the assignment too.

Saving money isn’t always exciting, especially when your online cart is sitting there looking abandoned. But watching your savings grow and not making money responsible for cheering you up feels pretty good too.
