What does it mean to be a good person?

It means treating people with respect, minding your business, and helping people without expecting something in return…. unless you’re helping them move, because at minimum, they owe you pizza.
Being good doesn’t mean being perfect or letting people walk all over you. You can have a kind heart and still block somebody before breakfast. However, I try to leave people feeling better than I found them, even if it’s just making them laugh on a bad day.
At the end of the day, being a good person is simple: don’t be the reason somebody needs therapy, especially when you can’t afford to pay for it.
